    Nick Abrahams is leader in the technology & innovation community as an entrepreneur, director, investor and advisor. He is the Global Head of Technology & Innovation for Norton Rose Fulbright, a professional services firm with over 8,000 people. In that role he created the world’s first AI-enabled legal chatbot and the world’s first Employment Agreement as a Cartoon Strip.

    As a sidehustle, six years ago he founded leading online legal site, LawPath which has completely reinvented the law with its subscription Legal-as-a-Service model. The company has over 100,000 users and recently completed one of the largest legaltech investments in Australia’s history.

    He has authored two books on Australian tech: Digital Disruption in Australia and Big Data, Big Responsibilities. His latest book A Brief Future of Almost Everything will be published in 2020. He is a regular contributor to the Australian Financial Review.

    He is a director of: ASX300 software company, Integrated Research; global genomics leader, the Garvan Foundation; as well as the Vodafone Foundation and the Sydney Film Festival. He worked as a Creative Executive at Warner Brothers in Los Angeles and is the Producer of the mockumentary Searching for Alison Porchnik, starring Woody Allen and Carol Cane.

    Dr Leila Alem has 25+ years of experience in helping businesses transform for the Digital Future. Her expertise includes designing awards winning digital products and new customer experiences leveraging emerging technologies such as AI, Wearables, AR/ VR and MR and using Design Thinking, Lean Start-up and Agile methodologies. Her clients include Boeing, Rio Tinto, Thomson, 3M and many more , as well as Government Departments at both state and federal level. She won the 2013 NSW State innovation Award in R&D for her work with

    Boeing and was finalist of The Women Infotech outstanding Career Achievements Award in 2015.

    Leila has 10 years of experience in entrepreneurship, building new innovation programs and practices to drive client engagement. Her corporate entrepreneurship experience include government and consulting sector. Currently Leila is the co-founder of ArcSense, a wearable tech start-up in health and wellbeing. She teaches Product Design, Innovation & Entrepreneurship in MBAs in Australia and France and mentors tech start-ups and social enterprises.

    Leila is an Adjunct Professor in Human Computer Interaction at UTS and holds a PhD in AI. She was Principal consultant at Thoughtworks, a global innovation consulting firm, for 2 years and Principal Research Scientist at CSIRO for 23 years.

    She is a sought after keynote at international conferences on emerging technologies and innovation. Leila has 100+ publications and is the editor of books & international journals in the next frontiers of Human Computer Interaction.

    Rebecca is the Deputy Director of AI, Projects and Innovation at the University of Canberra.

    She commenced in the role five years ago and has turned her focus to delivering high quality digital initiatives for UC, which improve the student experience, allow business to make better decisions and incorporate digital transformation.

    Her achievements include leading the delivery of the award winning UC Student 360 project (leveraging Microsoft Dynamics CRM), the recent release of UC’s new Digital Student Journey platform (powered by Adobe) and ‘Lucy’ the student facing chatbot. Prior to commencing in the role Rebecca worked in the project and advisory space, as a senior consultant, across various federal government clients.

I am a committee member as a NED. In an executive capacity, I am a Co-Founder, Director and Chief Technology Officer with PhonePass, where I am leading product development and contributing to strategic investment opportunities. I am also Fujitsu Australia’s Enterprise Architect, where I am providing expert technology services and strategic advice to various enterprises and federal agencies and internally. Before this, I was a Senior Consulting Architect with The Architecture Practice, where I led the development of strategic service-oriented architecture across the Department of Defence platforms. I also have experience working with the Board and Executive Leadership Team of Entity Three and its client, where I strategised sales and marketing programs for a multinational company.

    Al Blake is Chief Technology Officer for Shared Services within the ACT government where he is responsible for delivering the core technology solutions that underpin service delivery in such diverse areas such as education, health, transport and justice.

    Al has over 30 years in executive IT leadership, including the CIO role within the Commonwealth Environment department, where he was responsible for developing and implementing the Department's overall IT strategy. He was also a driving force behind the development and adoption of green IT initiatives within the Australian Government and spent seven years managing Pacific wide information networks, based in the Solomon Islands and New Caledonia.

    In addition to government experience Al spent several years as Principal Public Sector Analyst with the tech research firm, Ovum, and is recognised as a strategic IT thought leader. He is enthusiastic about the opportunities offered by as-a-service paradigm shifts and passionate about helping deliver digital services that will make the ACT one of the best places to live, visit and study in Australia.
